Su25 (Frogfoot)
A subsonic, single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Sukhoi. It was designed to provide close air support for the Soviet Ground Forces. The first prototype made its maiden flight on February 1975.Successor to the famous Il 2 Shturmovik of World War II the Su-25 is armed with a 30mm multi-barrel cannon beneath the centre fuselage and had ten hardpoints for ordnance. 23mm cannon could also be carried in pods under the wings. There were five stations for suspending weapons under each wing. Eight of the stations are interchangeable pylon carriers, which provide for the attachment of various bomb and rocket armament. R-60 air-to-air missiles are mounted on two additional external points under each wing.
